Joyce Marie Weaver passed away at age 69 in her hometown of Medford, Oregon on Saturday, January 9, after a brief, non-COVID-related illness.

Joyce was a devoted daughter, wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who paired a famously serene temperament with an avid interest in adventure, hunting, and the outdoors. She is survived by her husband Randy Weaver; son Gary Lee Weaverli; mother Hazel Opdahl; siblings Ron Opdahl, Carol McGregor, Steve Opdahl, and Betty Wagar; and an extended network of nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Joyce also has two grandsons, Kobel and Halin Weaverli, and welcomed great-grandson Huxsen in February 2020.

In keeping with Joyce’s wishes and in light of the current health crisis, her celebration-of-life gathering will be privately attended by family. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that those wishing to honor her memory donate to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation or the Oregon Hunter’s Association, organizations in which Joyce was active.
